Suzanne Sikkink
Suzanne worked for more than twenty years as a lawyer at an international law firm. Alongside her employment law practice, she was closely involved in her firm’s ambitions around the human side of being a lawyer. What began with a focus on mental health gradually evolved into a broader question: what do people need to reach their full potential in a high-performance environment?
In 2022, she left the legal profession to focus fully on these themes. Coming from an environment where pressure, ambition, and the pursuit of perfection are the norm, she knows better than anyone that sustainable performance does not come naturally. Without a conscious approach, there is a significant risk that people experience their work more as something they “have to” do and are carried along by, rather than something they truly “want” and actively shape themselves.
Drawing on practical experience and neuroscientific insights, Suzanne focuses on awareness, stress management, team dynamics, and the underlying patterns that influence collaboration. She helps leaders and teams explore what works and what does not, and guides them in having conversations that often do not arise naturally. From these insights, new choices and movements emerge that are better aligned with what people need to bring out the best in themselves and in one another.
Outside of her work, Suzanne enjoys spending time with her husband, her two children, and their dog Ollie. She loves being in the mountains to ski or hike, a place to recharge. In everything she does, connection in high-performance environments is central. From having to, to truly wanting to.
