Marcel Knotter
Throughout his career, Marcel has always combined soft and hard skills. At university, he studied sociology and economics, and since then, his career has revolved around human capital. At KPMG, he learned the ropes and worked abroad. Marcel was responsible for Human Resources Management, Change Management, and Organizational Learning Services.
Marcel then decided to try his hand at entrepreneurship. “It was the best decision I ever made. In 2005, I co-founded Bright & Company HR Strategy – a successful niche HR consultancy in the Netherlands. And I had the pleasure of co-founding BCM Private Equity in 2015 and the assessment and coaching firm YUCA Corporate Psychology in 2017.
Marcel had previously met Anton van den Berg (now managing partner at Allied Forces) as his (business) coach. Their relationship grew into a meaningful friendship, and through him, Marcel also met Armand van Velzen, with whom Anton founded Allied Forces. When the opportunity arose, the three combined their strengths in The Allied Impact.
“Besides being a devoted family man to my wife Kitty, 2 children, and 2 grandchildren, I’ve had the pleasure of traveling extensively on snow and ice around the world. I’m still proud that in 2002, together with my best friend Peter de Bruijn, we became the first Dutchmen to reach the magnetic North Pole on our own after a 700-kilometer journey across the polar cap.”
